February 2025 Monthly update

** Dear Foster Kids KC Community, 

 As we reflect on the month of February, we are grateful for your continued support that enables us to make a difference in the lives of foster children in our community. This month, we delivered 14 essential kits directly to the homes of foster families, ensuring that these families have the resources they need to care for their children. 

Thanks to our weekly laundry services, 42 children experienced the joy of clean clothes, while another 42 children benefited from our monthly home cleaning services, allowing them a healthier and more comfortable living environment. 

The challenges faced in foster care often come with deep emotional burdens, and we want to share a poignant story from this month. A dedicated foster mom reached out for assistance after welcoming three children from a family of six who were found living in a hotel room. These children arrived with nothing but the clothes on their backs and were in desperate need of basic necessities. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide them with haircuts and grooming services, helping them feel cared for and valued. Additionally, we were able to connect with the other foster parent who took in the remaining three siblings. We provided them with much-needed formula and diapers, ensuring that all six children are receiving the support they deserve. 

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our mission. Your support allows us to provide vital resources to our community's most vulnerable children, ensuring they have the basic necessities they need to thrive.
